Discovering the true meaning of Value
Product value is created when solving a problem and the measure of value is determined by the amount of time or money saved through the solution. Another form of value is created when the risk of a high consequential outcome is reduced.
Good Interface Product Design starts with having a comprehensive understanding of the target users problems and risks. Then a designer must relativize and contextualize information into a diagrammatic architecture even before starting on a wireframe. A designer must move into the prototyping phase knowing that to some degree their analysis is wrong. The goal of a first lean iteration is simply to discover where the concept is wrong as soon as possible.
